Rebecca Dorward is an Aurora resident, local historian and Author.

Rebecca’s most recent book is a local history of the Park Hill neighborhood, located just east of downtown Denver was published by Arcadia Publishing in July 2010.

Her first book, Aurora: First Sun of Colorado presents the reader with a lively look at the events and characters that shaped this city’s development. Anecdotes and previously unpublished photos, many from her personal collection, show the reader many sites and structures long gone.

The author’s thoughtful treatment of the preservation issues facing the community is one of the bright spots of this book.
